About the Role
Safely operate center transportation in accordance with state and center rules and regulations.
Ensure safety of children within Driver’s direct care.
Maintain order and discipline during transport.
Communicate with parents, students and staff in a courteous and respectful manner; respond accordingly to needs.
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of center vehicles including cleaning of vehicles and transporting vehicles for servicing as needed.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
Responsible, mature and safety conscious.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Clean driving record with valid driver's license of the type required under North Carolina Motor Vehicle Law for the vehicle being driven or comparable license from the state in which the driver resides
Able to react quickly to emergency situations.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
Must clear full background check
Must pass health screening
Have no convictions of Driving While Impaired (DWI) or any other impaired driving offense within the previous three years.
